Hello Francophones and French learners! Join us for your favorite French exercise, la dictée, in this virtual event hosted by the
Alliance Française de Seattle. This session features an excerpt from Kamel Daoud, the Algerian writer and journalist known
for his acclaimed novel The Meursault Investigation, which reimagines Albert Camus's L'Étranger from a new perspective.
In 2024, Daoud was awarded the prestigious Prix Goncourt for his novel Houris, which explores the aftermath of Algeria's "Black
Decade" of the 1990s.
This dictée is non-competitive and recommended for fluency levels of B1 or above.
