Hello Francophones and French learners! Join us for your favorite French exercise, the dictée, a virtual event
hosted by the Alliance Française de Seattle. We will be exploring an excerpt from Romain Gary, a prolific French
novelist, diplomat, and filmmaker, uniquely distinguished for being the only author to win the Prix Goncourt twice, under different
pseudonyms: first in 1956 for "Les Racines du ciel" (The Roots of Heaven), and again in 1975 as Émile Ajar for "La Vie devant soi" (The
Life Before Us).
This dictée is non-competitive and recommended for fluency levels of B1 or above.
