Hello Francophones and French learners! Join us for your favorite French exercise: the dictée, in-person at the Alliance
Française de Seattle. We will be exploring an excerpt from Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours by Jules Verne, French novelist,
father of science-fiction, and second most-translated author in the world since 1979, ranking above Shakespeare. His most famous works
are Around the World in Eighty Days (Le Tour du Monde en Quatre-Vingt Jours), Journey to the Center of the Earth (Voyage
au Centre de la Terre) and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas (Vingt Mille Lieues sous les Mers). He is one of the most
influential authors of the 19th century.
This dictée is non-competitive and recommended for fluency levels of B1 or above.
