The Alliance Française de Seattle provides one-on-one and semi-private instruction (offered online only). Learners benefit from flexible scheduling and personalized instruction. Private classes can be planned from Monday to Saturday, during the day or in the evening, for adults or youth at all levels of proficiency. We do not match students for semi-private classes; you must book together.
We offer private classes with a variety of objectives. For example:
All private classes are currently conducted online. Please add a comment in your request if you are looking for in-person private classes.
To register, submit a private class request form. You will be contacted within two (2) weeks with a proposal. Once the schedule is confirmed, you will receive an invoice, due one (1) week before the first session. You can purchase a membership—required for private courses—at that time. Please keep in mind that AFSeattle does not match students, so semi-private classes must be booked together.

AF membership is required to sign up for private instruction. If you are not a member, a membership will be added to your tuition invoice when your private course is confirmed.
Only packages of five (5), ten (10), or fifteen (15) hours can be purchased. Customized extra hours cannot be added to a package.
Payments must be made one (1) week prior to the first scheduled lesson.
Please note that once a fixed private schedule is set with an instructor and a tuition package has been paid and confirmed, limited rescheduling will be accepted:
For no-shows and cancellation with less than 24-hour notice, the session will be charged in full.
Packages of private tuition must be used within two quarters.
Our teaching staff is composed of highly qualified French instructors with native fluency and degrees in teaching French as a foreign language. We cannot accommodate requests for instructors based on their native language or national origin because it is against our inclusion and non-discriminatory policies.
