Linda Egnatz (NBCT) is the Global Seal of Biliteracy Executive Director and serves the Joint National Committee on Languages (JNCL-NCLIS) as its current President. She was an Advanced Placement Spanish teacher and has taught at DePaul University, Purdue University, and Joliet Junior College. She serves on the Global Teachers Club Advisory Council and is the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Advocacy Chair and Past President.  In 2013, she received the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching and representing Illinois, and in 2014 was named the ACTFL National Language Teacher of the Year. Egnatz works internationally to build awareness of the importance of multilingualism which includes providing programs to sustain and grow heritage languages.  Her work has been highlighted in television and newspaper interviews and she has been published in the Foreign Language Annals, Hispania, The Language Educator, Language Magazine, and Education Weekly. In her Global Seal of Biliteracy role, her mission is to provide bilinguals around the world with resources to level up and leverage their bilingualism and link to future opportunities to use and grow their skills through language certification.

Otilia Baraboi joined the Alliance Française de Seattle in June 2022. She has over ten years of experience in managing a successful cultural and educational nonprofit organization in Seattle, as well as over eighteen years of experience in teaching French and developing curricula for French language, literature, and culture. Otilia holds an MA and a PhD in French Studies from the University of Washington, and a Master of Advanced Studies (DEA) in French Literature from the University of Geneva. Her priorities to pursue excellence in French-language teaching and Francophone events, to create sustainable, community-building programs and partnerships, as well as her ability to develop a nonprofit’s brand identity in accordance with its mission and values, are strong and relevant skills that she brings into her new role at the Alliance Française de Seattle.
