Ciné-Salon [Online]

The ciné-salon is free for members, with a $10 fee per event for non-members. Please RSVP to each event to receive the Zoom meeting link by email.

Discover our top recommendations for French-language films and join our online ciné-salon to discuss them in French—at your own comfort level—led by our instructor Giuseppa! Connect with fellow enthusiasts through a shared love of cinema and Francophone cultures. It’s a wonderful way to practice French while enjoying an entertaining and social experience.

All levels are welcome, and discussion questions will be provided for each event to guide the conversation.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • For each session, a film is selected for you to watch at home. Our picks are generally available on various streaming platforms, so you can view them at your convenience before the discussion.
  • Participants are asked to RSVP to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email.
  • On the day of the event, simply join the online Zoom meeting.
  • A list of discussion questions will be posted on the event page the day before each session to provide structure and inspiration.
  • Enjoy lively discussions about the films in a relaxed atmosphere! Each event will last approximately 90 minutes.
